Parkzone T-28 Maiden Flight and Crash

Tim (AKA Tinker-Man), my nieghbor, takes his T-28 up for the 1st time. Tinker-Man has only flown the SuperCub modified with brushless motor and ailerons before this flight. This is his first time flying a low-wing.

The T28 Trojan went behind the house line and out of sight. Luckily, it landed or should I say, was Caught by a very flexible tree. The tree absorbed the impact and there was absolutley no damage to the plane! Not even a scuff on the foam!

Way to go Tinker-Man!

Thanks! I was leaning towards the T-28 originally but the Corsair does look sweet. I think I'll pickup the T28 this week. Did you upgrade you P51 to a brushless? That would be make it much faster. I may do that. i noticed you now have all the f/18's by exceed!!! That is sweet. I'm going to purchase the blue Angel one soon too. Still have not maiden'd my 90mm F/18. I figure the exceed would help the stick training a little. R the exceed f18s good at slow passes??

The only thing I did to my P-51 , is change them over to LIPO batteries. That puts a nice little zip to them.

The F/A 18s, I got from Nitroplanes. They are great for slow passes, high alphas, and more! The main gear is nice and tucked under the fuselage reducing drag. They hold up great to punishment. I'll give the one word of WARNING though: You'll have so much fun blasting around at full throttle, you'll lose track of time! Put your timer on 4minutes, then land.

What play is better from parkzone? Corsair or the T-28 Trojan? Are both stable. I usually fly EDFs. I do have the PZ P51. It rolls really easy and seems unstable.

The T-28 would be my choice between the 2. I have both and like both. The corsair just looks nicer in the air. They have the same motor and use much the same parts. But the T-28 handles better on the ground and in the air. You can modify the T-28 well too. Flaps, spoilers, etc.

As for your P51, I have all 3 warbirds from Parkzone, and they are all pretty stable. the only time mine gets a little wierd is if the aileron screws get loose, allows ailerons to slip.
