This setup is for the easier method. Note that the video is actually a fight with a Adamantai, the tougher version of this mission. (Only difference is their HP).


Start off with Enhancer/Enhancer/Enhancer. The only spell you will be casting will be is Haste on all your party members. Let Vanille do her job with. As soon as she finishes casting Bravera and Faithra (attack up and magic up tier II) switch to Blaster/Blaster/Jammer.


Immediately summon to knock the enemy down and then immediately go into drive/gestalt mode and then immediately use the finishing move. Once you regain controll of your characters, go all out. Once Vanille finishes with Defense down, magic defense down, and elemental defense down, switch to Blaster/Blaster/Blaster and continue on to break/stagger the enemy.


Once the enemy is in break/stagger state, keep the setup and raise the percentage to at least 850% (it shouldnt take long) and then switch to Attacker/Attacker/Blaster to finish it off.


In the video I have genji gloves on but it is completely unnecessary to beat it this way. Note that Snow's limit break (full atb move and the final attack in the video) can do some serious damage, but also note that the break meter on the enemy goes to 0 once you use it.


The Harder Way


For this method use the above setup with an added


Healer/Anything/Healer

Enhancer/Enhancer/Healer


Recommended

Accessories to boost physical, magical, and earth defense.

At least 15000HP for ALL characters if you're letting AI heal (because they always heal short of max and one move can kill you if your HP isnt above 12000)


Start off with Enhancer/Enhancer/Healer and do your buffs. Note that Lightning is buffing this time instead of Vanille because Vanille's Tier II buffs wear off to often. After buffing, heal to full with Healer/Anything/Healer.


For this method, you will be switching sets a lot. After the enemy does its foot stomp, heal to full and switch to Blaster/Blaster/Jammer or Blaster/Blaster/Blaster and go all out on one of the legs. When it stomps again, switch back to healer set and heal to above 12000HP. Reason for this is because the roar move from it can do 12000 damage and inflict stop. Keep switching back and forth and kill its legs.


However, before you take out its second leg, switch to Healer/Enhancer/Enhancer and have Vanille cast her Tier II buffs. As soon as she finishes Bravera/Faithra, go all out and take out the second leg. Don't worry about healing at this point because you should be able to finish it off. Once it falls down, follow the method from the easy way.

@Rvyelp When I first played XIII, I was rather disappointed with the first 10 to 20 hours. The combat was slow, some of the characters pissed me off (Hope was a pain in the ass, Lightning was a complete bitch and Snow never stopped saying "SERAH!") but after awhile I got used to it all, the characters slowly progressed and changed in a realistic way and I cared for them.

By the end of the game I was sad that it was finished and the ending made me cry ):

Just dont write sqenix hate mail telling them to close down. Plenty of people still like the newer ones. They will probably rerelease old classics or change back to tirn based soon anyways. A lot of people like things shaken up every so often, so they're not playing the same game over and over again.

Ive loved all of the ones ive played. just because ffvii was amazing when it was released, doesn't mean it's still the best. When i play a game, i look at gross epicness. I dont make exceptions for games just because they were released earlier. Dont cling to classics just because they are classics. Also, if you dont like newer ones, then dont play them. Maybe people should just stop comparing the FFs or at least ones like VII and XIII. They are completely different games with completely different systems... and both are great games. I personally prefer VII because XIII's characters (except Sazh and Vanille) piss me off and the game was way too linear (and I usually LIKE linear games!) plus the story was kinda strange, but I think XIII is a great game, too.
