@Jlau897 It gets me how many people are proud of being a narcissist. I have known quite a few of them and after so many years they usually end up with huge problems. Destroyed relationships, Financial ruin, No friends, Psycotic episodes, Medication, Dysfunctional children, etc etc. Avoid them like the plague and if you can't, learn their traits, methods and anticipate the cog on the side of their head. Never trust them.

yeah this is a serious issue here in America,from what i see i really do not know if this is practice in other countries but i do know America is flooded with this type of personality.

I admit it. I was a wanna be narcissist between my peers. I wanted to be best because that's what my parents pushed me into especially my dad. My dad probably gave me the worst advices. He told me to talk well but not really teaching me anything. He always tried to make me win at arguments. He and I just didn't didn't match. Heck nobody really did when my pops was younger.

Being a Narcissist is sad. These people are sick assholes, because they lie ridiculously with all there grandiose crap and if you try to talk them to reality they will argue. Remember they also have to devalue other people like a devil. If you are saying it ok to be a narcissist, I'm sorry to say your probably a narcissist.

@yahoo3396 If you can see these traits in yourself you may not be a narcissist, bravo for self correcting though, it will help for sure. Having a high self esteem is really good, but you don't want to perceive yourself as better than, or more deserving than anyone else and you don't want to be at the point where you just expect special privileges just because you're you.That's NOT good. Best of luck. You deserve to be liked, just work on being compassionate and all will be well.

@OneEyedSwampWookie Why is God an answer to some of you people? There are narcissists who believe in Christianity.
Like she says, Narcissism is abstract, it isn't always obviously negative like she's explaining. Narcissism can be very hidden, and at times the narcissist doesn't realize that they're so self-indulged.
Meaning: they can believe that they care, but they don't realizing that they're not really emphasizing. But what she's talking about is the extreme, broader Narcissism.
