Great march by the greatest march composer of all time...Kenneth J. Alford! His music made Sousa's sound like it was written by a piker! Alford marches are subtle and lyrical, with beautiful counter-melodies usually in the euphonium or upper woodwind parts. His marches were not usually bombastic...they did not need to be...Alford wrote with style and finesse. He conducted the Royal Marine Band for many years and K.J. Alford was the nom-de-plume of Major Frederick Joseph Ricketts, R.M.
