haha why look for mpg in a Wrangler, i have a 1990 Wrangler 4.2L carbureted 5 speed on 32s, and the carb is literally dumping, not spraying, dumping gasoline into the engine, bogs on take off- $100+ fix for 12+mpg, but right now im getting around 5.7mpg.

lol i from jersey too nice jeep !
-
i don't know why, but your jeep reminds me of my truck. trying to figure out what part of jersey you're in, looks a lot like central

dont get the cat put back on. worse mileage. also, the jeep sounds great right now :D

My dad use to have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler for daily driving to work, never using it offroad and he had horrible mpg, like he guessed under 10mpg!!! He gave it up last winter and got a Porsche Cayman for his daily driving work car

i got a couple more....1. if you have big offroading tires, get a second set of wheels and tires that are for the streets. 2. ha, make this your weekend warrior not a daily driver

that thing sounded like a V8 when it revved!

Finally, replace old filters (fuel, air) with the new ones. Open windows or use just ventilator instead of using it with AC on. Lose all unnecessary weight (you don't have to take everything you have with you when driving to work), vacuum clean the interior. Check if all oils and other liquids are sufficient.
Use summer tires in summer and winter tires in winter (and not all-weather tires). SUV is not a racecar (usually) so you don't have to accelerate roughly till you have to hit the brakes. :)
can I just be a boring bastard and tell you all it's my birthday today?????

Dan, what's your opinion of Butanol as a replacement for gasoline?
Maserati7200 4 months ago
@Maserati7200 Biobutanol holds a lot of promise. It has a lower energy density than gasoline, but I'm not sure about the octane. Sounds like a lot more testing needs to be done to fully assess its compatibility.
One of these days when I have some spare cash, I'm gunna buy a cheap FlexFuel car or truck and get a permit to put a still in the shed ... :)
