My Apple TV is hacked and it can play HD as long as it's not in 1080. I have no probs with it streaming it. Depends on file size and as long as it was converted correctly, it works good. Choppiness occurs on some higher end files, but it's the whole time. Very watchable.

Was planning to get an Apple TV for this. How's video playback from the Hard Drive in boxee? Is there chopiness, I've been told it can't play HD files.
