Hi bonnie , no i just used the camera as it was without the strobe ,but as you can hear ,there is a sort of clicking noise from the camera on film mode, my first dc800 did the same , so i took it back,and the replacement does the same, maybe its a fault , im not sure . The camera is good though. thanks for your comment .
