I gave my Cuttlebug to my DD and now have a Big Shot Pro...this baby can cut anything! however, it is enormous! I do have room for it though and love how easy it cuts. i also had a Big shot that i gave to a friend. it's funny how you mentioned the cuttlebug taking up less space since now you have 2 machines taking up even more space! LOL! :) (sorry, couldn't resist!) thanks for the video!

I just bought a CB and it did not come with a C-plate. I now own both a CB and a Big Shot and if I was limited to only one, I would keep the Big Shot, so I think that it is a person by person preference. Happily I do not have to choose just one and can enjoy the strengths of each one depending on the job to be done.

hi i was wondering were/how much a cuttle bug is? ya i'm new to this so i kinda have to buy this all and i'm the only one in my fam who is in to this sooo it's kinda hard to get started... (btw do you have any tips for beginner crafters)

can u use embosing dies on the cuttle bug

I have the cuttlebug & love it. The only reason I would buy another cutter is if they come out with a wider. I make a lot of 6x6"cards & sometimes I can't emboss the entire width of the card cause not all the embossing folders have a texture that enables you to move the paper & match the design. Larger embossing folders would need to be available. I love your work & watch your blogs all the time. Would love to have a Michaels or Joannes in Australia, not a lot of scrappin options here.

Thanks for doing a video on this comparison! I've had a Cuttlebug FOREVER, love it and recommend it to everyone. I think it's my favorite/most used tool... besides my paper trimmer! :) I went to an SU! party and of course they were raving about the Big Shot... that is their job I guess! HA! They now make a long platform and the plates for the Cuttlebug so I just bought them off Joann's website. Super psyched because they were on sale for $11.99 each and I got free shipping. Whoot!!!

Thankyou for this video...I'm actually trying to decide b/n the 2. With the Cuttlebug, do I need to also purchase a rubber mat or something to use when embossing?

@terrybriody No.. its a hobby.. and I think most just like to buy stuff like any hobby.. the only ones making the money are the stores selling this stuff... amazed everyone buys so much.. this stuff is EXPENSIVE!
A born Star!
Does anyone manage to make a living from doing these crafts?

@terrybriody a small handful of people are able to. Most of us (including myself) do it because it's a hobby and we enjoy it. :)

The BS has the multi-purpose platform, is that something important to have or can the CB do the same without it? I really want to buy my first one but am having a hard time choosing, I'm leaning towards the bug because of lack of space. Also can you still get the BS for free or was that a expired deal?

@FirstClassThiefRikku I got it for free because of all the hostess benefits I earned through a Stampin' Up workshop - I used those benefits to get the Big Shot instead of other product in the catalogue.

Will the Big Shot cut fabric with nestabilities?

@POLKADOTSCRAFTS1 it should be able to - I've never tried it but I'm guessing it would.
