British actor Hugh Grant took to the front row of London Fashion Week for the hottest ticket in town - the revival of iconic 1960s label Biba. More than forty years on from its launch, the brand that helped define the Swinging Sixties came back to life as a more luxurious line for the 21st century hippy.

Biba, founded in 1964, effectively invented the fast fashion scene that now defines the 10 billion pound British industry by making fashion accessible and shopping a leisure activity. Bella Freud's modern take stayed true to the original colour scheme of mulberries, blueberries, rusts and plums but added more modern textiles for her collection of jump-suits, pinafores and print shirts.

  • Very overpriced clothes. Barbara Hulanicki designed clothes and set her prices so that the ordinary girl of the 60s and 70s could afford them. These do not reflect the true mantra of her way of thinking. However, I did get a gorgoues Biba ring for Mother's day!!!!!

  • can u imagine kissing her with that wart above her lips

  • love it

  • BIBA IS BACK DARLINGS... HOUSE OF FRASER 9/9/10...X

  • BIBA IS BACK DARLINGS... HOUSE OF FRASER 9/9/10...X

  • no barbara no Biba.......

  • ...and this failed terribly and was gone in a couple of years beacause: A. Biba without Barbara Hulanicki isn't Biba, B. The clothes were too pricey for most 20 somethings who could buy the same look at Topshop for 1/4 of the price, and C. The women who remembered Biba in the past and wore it in their twenties could afford the new, high priced Biba, but didn't want to dress like they were still in their twenties. As a Biba-phile, I was glad they misjudged everything and this went away quickly.

  • The clothes are nice but I have to admit those models are horrid

  • Meh, they all look grumpy...

  • Rock ON BeLLA..The OriginaL BiBa is a Hard act to follow...I Love that you revived the BiBa T shirt..I wore mine to bits..I thinK you have done a Great Job...it is reminiscent of Original Clothing ....
