Flipside Video Fanzine, vol. 3

Lydia Lunch: "They're over. Deceased. When I tell people I was working with No Trend, they just go Oh, my God! I hate them!, Im like: Well, thats one vote of confidence... Great, anyone whos that hated - even Sonic Youth banned them from playing with them - they cant be all bad! Mostly it was their lyrics, I loved the No Trend lyrics... they had sent me a tape asking me if I would sing some songs and the lyrics were just so basic and so right: Quick! Two seconds to non-existence, so what the fuck do you want? - how can you beat that, I mean the curtest lyrics Ive ever heard, Too many fucking humans, You breed like rats, And youre no fucking better! - brilliant, yknow, great! So they were just a band who could not really find their niche, put out a few records, I helped them get out a record or two and then they just disappeared into obscurity, and hence forth the lead singer and main man, Jefferson Scott, went on to make a film about John Holmes life, the porn superstar, Johnny Wad - cant vouch for it, havent seen it. Love Johnny Wad though, absolute hero."

  • No Trend were amazing. Like Flipper meets PIL yet very original. Kind of cool to hear this done live. They were too underrated.

  • They used to practice down the street from where I grew up. They were great, totally unique

  • DOes ANYBODY have any sort of pictures of the band members xD

  • one of the most frustrating live recordings ever.

  • Fucking great to know an awesome band used to be around where I live.

  • Dayumn. This brings back memories. Anyone got "Too Many Humans?" Now that is a song whose relevance has never diminished.

  • hi,

I love them for a long time.

Do you know something about them, what are they doing today?

    Such a creativity can't disappear!
