Here is how to create one "RegistrySizeLimit"

Note this video is the responce to:
Windows Installer Module, Windows Installer, Update problems - Error 1450 (Windows 7, build 7600)

I just found out that Vista uses the same version of REGEDIT as Windows 7 does, so the source code for creating registry entry applys for Vista too. You may notice in regedit help in Vista that it says that version of REGEDIT is 6.00. But actually is 5.00., the same version as in Windows 7. Strange but true.

Copy this code for crating a new registry entry!:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\]
"RegistrySizeLimit"=dword:ffffffff

  • It says "The specified file is not a registry script. You can only import binary registry files from withing the registry editor." What does that mean? Please help

  • @Eaglesrulez13 See the video response "How to manualy add the entry RegistrySizeLimit"

  • @dasadler46 when saving you must select save file as "all files" and you must type and the end of the name ".reg"

  • hey ne idea how to fix error 1723? thnx

  • Change the heximal to decimal trough right clicking on it, save, apply, restart comp. go to services and find windows module installer, put it on auto and aswell start the service and ur done.

  • to my surprise this did actually work, I had error 1935 and was gonna install vegas movie stuido pro 9 but it didnt allow me becuse it couldnt install the visual packages 2005 and 2008. Also I will post this in the other video when u make the registryfix.reg file and nothing happens when u double click it u just drag it into the place where it should be, in the registry folder as explained above.

  • @pifko6 I did save it that way - I think it has to do with the fact that I am running Windows 7 x64. In any case, i just manually added it so all is well though I don't know why it didn't work. when I followed the instructions.
