I am a lifelong Democrat with liberal values. However, i would vote for most conservative republican if it would get this A hole out of office.
The Queen will survive this. Vicki W has a good head on her shoulders and trained under Betty Blake herself. I hope Oberstar's career will not survive this and he is exposed for the LIAR he is.

Senator George Voinovich plans to introduce a companion bill in the Senate, and Rep. Steve Chabot said he's heard from other congressional representatives who plan to support the legislation. There´s no bill number so far as it will be introduced after Labor Day (after the summer break).

Mr. Oberstar isn't concerned about safety. He's concerned about himself and his reputation. He typifies the low regard that many people have of politicians. He should focus more on those bad bridges in his home state, which could affect more people than a small steamboat, which he'll never ride anyway. This is one bum that needs to be thrown out of Congress!
