The majestic beauty of the Pine Ridge forms the backdrop for this great, get away from it all state park, 9 miles south of Chadron on U.S. 385. At an elevation of nearly 5,000 feet, the 972 acre park lies in the heart of the Nebraska National Forest and is dominated by ponderosa pines.
c'mon Scott, thats harsh. I thought the Chadron area was pretty cool.

trust me folks, its just as far to drive to colorado so if you get a chance to go to nebraska pass on that , there aint shit here but flat empty nothingness, no forest no woods no rivers no streams no lakes and definatly NO MOUNTAINS just empty flat land as far as you can see, so to sum it all up if your wanting a nice vacation DONT COME HERE.
