I think Cordelia in the "Birthday" episode was offered the chance to see what her life in LA would have been like had she not randomly bumped into Angel at the start of season 1. Cordelia also gets to see what the consequences of her absence would have been for the people she cares about. It is a good episode.

i took this a few years ago when she was at a sci fi convention in toronto, nicky is nicolas brendan aka xander....im not sure what episode the sitcom stuff was in but im pretty sure its season one of angel
