Chopin, etude no. 6, op. 10

Bit scrappy performance-wise, with a couple of errors, one precipitated by having to turn the page but generally ok, and not over-sentimentalised (IMHO a cardinal sin of Chopin interpretation). This piece is a lonely bit of music.

Mostly this is an experiment testing out the combination of my digital piano line out and PhotoBooth, mixed together with Final Cut Pro. Curiously, the audio stream from PhotoBooth is actually out of sync with the video (I mixed PhotoBooth's audio with the line out).

My piano is a Kawai CN32. It's remarkable how dull and lifeless the sound is from line out, compared to what you get from the internal speakers. Maybe better to record fully mic-ed up.
