Seth Roberts, a cognitive psychologist at Tsinghua University by way of UC Berkeley, draws insight from self-experimentation. It's the "freakonomics" of the self. Omphaloskepsis^10. At EG4 (2010), Monterey. http://the-eg.com

  • @MrTraintracks Yeah, she's desperate to cure her acne and control her weight.

  • I've use 2 Roberts' ideas w/great success: 1a: 4 tbsp flaxseed oil, (w/nose pinched to block taste), before eating = 1 week / -10 lb / NO effort. 1b: I didn't think my gums needed improvement, but they look a "younger" shade of pink. 2: Eating a pat of butter before bed has me sleeping 7 1/2hrs undisturbed. At almost 63yrs old, I thought waking after 4hrs to pee was normal, as I make no effort to limit late-night liquids, so I guess I'm better than normal now.

  • WOW! Great Talk - thank you Seth Roberts, for sharing your (personal and very private) data with the world.

  • Great Video....Usually after watching long videos i end up saying why i wasted that much of my time...But this wasn't wasted time for sure...
