  • how did you get rotf megatron to bend at his elbow?

    PS:this is fantastic :)

  • @skiddalek thanks!

and honestly, all i did was unscrew the arm, cut it in half from the middle, and used deluxe bumblebee's arm as a joint that i superglued in between to connect the two halves.

wasnt sure what i was doing, just took a chance and it ended up pretty nice! :)

  • I am a pro customizer. Recently did a ROTF Prime myself. You should go back and start from scratch on the prime. There are a ton of areas that you can just see globs of paint. It makes it look like shit. Sorry to be blunt. Your ideas are right, but your not doing even strokes and making the paint glob togather. Use bigger brushes on larger areas and a .01 grade on detailing parts, like thin lines and eyes etc.. Hopes this helps. Also Use metalic paints on "metal areas for that metal look u wnt

  • @frankxcross ur completely right. it's the painted-on red and blue's that make it look bad. the metallic parts (the silver/gold/copper etc painted parts) are not bad. i WANT to re do it. but resources are limiting me. (cant find good metalic red and blue paints nearby)

the blue "globby" parts look that way because it's metallic blue nail polish LOL cldnt find the paints so resorted to that aha

  • cool what arm joint did u use

  • @djhaze103

    bumblebee's arm.

i tried to do a tutorial, but the vid turned into a 30 min long movie!

  • @Artimas212 Metallic paints can be tricky I know this indeed. I can not say what will work and what wont. Its all really up to the person doing the customizing. However, Testors is my main brand, find a hobby lobby or other kinds of hobby shops that carry Testors. OR walmart in my area carry this really good paint brand called (Folk Art) The sterling silver metallic paint is a great paint for all of Optimus silver metallic parts. Also BASE coating will work wonders for you. trust me.

  • @Artimas212 please make a tutorial

  • Dude: here's an hint thats going to help you. ( Drybrush different varia's of metal colors on the surface that needs to be metal colored) ( Ending:Nice!)

  • @amartinez97 :( U Do Know That He Is More Experienced?
