A demonstration of a conlang I have started to develop.

It's also much harder to say out loud than when practicing it to myself in a whisper (as I do when practicing and designing new words)!

Literal translation of what I am saying:
I give you-sort-of greetings (should technically be 'se bethaú se-che-greta' but that makes it too long and you know what it's supposed to mean). I have (abstract) you-sort-of happy-sort-of hope. True/false: you have (abstract) me-sort-of language-sort-of liking? I have (abstract) it-sort-of confusion! I opine it have pleasant-sort-of (?appearance? - I'm not sure what I meant 'fitoth' to mean! :S).

Proper translation:
Hello. I hope you're happy (not in the sarcastic sense one might intend in English). Do you like my language? I find it confusing! I think it (?looks/sounds? - not sure what I meant 'fitoth' to mean!) nice.

I have attempted a few other conlangs before but they have failed. I have a feeling this one will go the same way, not least because it's difficult to pronounce :(

  • It sounds really neat! I like that your language has lots of non-english sounds to it.

I'm curious about what you're saying, though.

  • Thanks! :)

I have now added a literal (word-for-word) translation and a proper translation to the video description :)

  • Great!

  • Thanks :)

I only hope it doesn't fall apart like my other attempts :S lol

  • Conlanging is so fun. :D

  • Li'afame once again! :)

You have very interesting sounds.. much like Icelandic or maybe Celtic. My conlang (Torvnian) sounds much like Italian... Here's a sample, if you'd like: eis ai aemeó-ni lógn, asode adsve andiamva.. Li'adsudese!
