No scientific evidence exists to support the hypothesis that "Bipolar Disorder" is a medical illness with a biological origin. The chemical imbalance theory sounds convincing, but actually this theory was disproven back in the late 1960's and early 1970's. Nor do the medications prescribed for this disorder correct any kind of imbalance. I am now applying to do a diploma in Psychiatric Nursing next year and can see a clear future for once. I also agree with your theory that in later years you become ....
Thanks for your comment, Murray. I left out one important message in my interview with Carla. Many people in their later years - I believe I was 58 at the time (am now 62) - achieve a complete recovery of their manic depression. This is not a remission but we are cured of our Bipolar One as its now called. Psychiatrists are not aware of this but should be.
