sams amazing.. i met him once in orlando, fl .. one of my college professors plays stand up bass and jams with him sometimes... cool dude, musical genius.. love sams work.. he told me music is math, he can write it like writing a book with no insttruments...

What a cool clip enjoyed this greatly to see a master composer at work with his big band, is this off the Inspiration album ? must listen to it again soon, if only all rehersals were as fun like this. Respect Sam Rivers y'all !

Sam Rivers is brilliant and an absolute joy to watch live. Full of vitality. I feel like quite the fanboi recognizing the songs as he goes over them scat style!
