Insane Asylum Cemetery

The Outagamie County Insane Asylum is long gone. But its cemetery is still in place. There are no flowers or headstones, just deliberately arranged rows of trees and a sign. The Grand Chute location is west of what is now the road Fox Valley Technical College uses to teach truck driving.

I was in there a couple times! a real bughouse!!!

I was just there yesterday on my bicycle. I thought it was very sad how if all those dead were around today, they'd have great care in many cases and possibly on some simple medication. They would definitely have gravestones. I found a very small sign siting in a fork in a tree. I can't remember what it said but I just stood on the site for a while a thought about those people. It's a shame what we used to do to people less fortunate.
