Happy Mother's Day! My family and I went to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo to see the new elephant exhibit. We even saw other animals to pass the time SO WATCH THE WHOLE VIDEO!!! We ran into heavy traffic and waited to get in to the zoo for about 50 minutes or so. Thank goodness they built a new parking area. So enjoy the elephants and the other animals. By the way, the African Rock Python is sitting next by the buffalo skull. I thought that the fake meerkats was a big slap in the face.

  • Traffic is a huge problem for visitors to the Philadelphia Zoo, too. The elephants look like they are enjoying their new home. This makes me miss the Philadelphia Zoo elephants even more.

  • @ZooVisitorMM I'm so sorry that the elephants at your local zoo are no longer on exhibit. Truly I am. What do you think happened to them after their exhibit closed? Also, what is your favorite animal?

  • @velocikiller13 Currently my favorite inhabitant at the Philadelphia Zoo is Gertie, the curassow. But I also especially love the alligator snapping turtle, both Canada lynxes, one of the lionesses, Zenda, the male giraffe, Gus, and all of the Waldrapp ibises. But, I still miss the elephants. I especially wish Dulary, the Asian elephant were still living in the Philadelphia Zoo. She had a very special relationship with one of the African elephants, Petal (who died in 2008 at age 52).

  • @ZooVisitorMM Of course you know that I love the lions, Moufasa and Chloe. But I also love the Cleveland Zoo's black rhinoceros family which you can see in this video. So far, four rhinoceroses were born. I also love the elephant herd. In fact, the Cleveland Zoo houses the biggest elephant in North America and his name is Willy.

  • @velocikiller13 The Asian elephant was moved to the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. The two remaining African elephants are both currently at the Pittsburgh Zoo's International Conservation Center. Visitors are not allowed at either location. But the Zoo staff says all three are doing well.

It's hard for me to say what my favorite animal is. I love all animals. Sometimes I try to narrow it down to my favorite mammal, my favorite reptile, etc. But that doesn't work either!
