The Fastest Guitar Player (Not anymore! - see description)

HE WAS THE OFFICIAL WORLD RECORD HOLDER.
"The fastest guitar player is José del Rio (Chile) who played 'Duelling Banjos' at a speed of 250 bpm in Las Condes, Santiago, Chile, on 9 April 2006."
Ok, so this was copy-pasted from the Guinness World Record site. Della Vega was the record holder, with a record set in 2008. This is 2006.
However, there's someone much much faster than Della Vega, and that person is (drum roll please!) Mr John 'Dr Hot Licks' Taylor! Other than being a very polite and modest man, he played the Flight of the Bumblebee at a jaw-dropping speed of 600 bmp, rendering him the unquestionable master of guitar speed. Probably forever.

Michael was shocked when he heard Shawn Lane and called him the Jedi Knight of the guitar. If Michael and the rest of the entire professional guitar world is that impressed with Shawn Lane then he is obviously better at impressing people than Michael.

that's open to interpretation, but michael always did have a crazy shred stage presence with those double and quadruple neck guitars and that over and under technique. musically though, nobody impresses me more than shawn lane. nobody in history could play everything he played. i see a handful of people that can cover MAB songs perfectly.
