Interesting that Jesse Winchester, who wrote this song, said that Ed Bruce nailed it perfectly. Reminds me a little of how Waylon Jennings might have approached it as well.
Jesse's latest CD, Love Filling Station, has some arrangements on some tracks that also mirror this arrangement and overall sound.
