In 2WD, as I took off from a stop, in 1st gear, heard a LOUD clunk. Suddenly, no matter what gear I shifted into, it was as if the Jeep was in neutral. I was able to shift into 4WD and all worked normal in 4WD and made it home. This video is of the Jeep in gear, in 2WD. The rear shaft is spinning, but the back wheel not engaging. Issue with the differential? 5spd, 6cyl 4.0L

  • not a big deal. new spider, ring and pinion. look into the upgrade packages

  • Broken spider gears.....

  • In other words your rear end needs a complete rebuild with new gears.

  • Your pinion is broke stupid.
