I forgot to mention that I'm on that tour from St Helens Central so I won't be able to wave to you and Stephen at Eccleston Park. I'll make sure I enjoy the bash though!

Thanks Dunky! It was murder getting from Doncaster at 5 to get to Wigan for 8! I had to interchange in both Sheffield and Salford to get there on time!

Yes Pegasus ran this railtour, I dont know about D1017, as it was 47853 was the other loco, but I aint good at translating. Was it in XP64 livery like this?

Me and Stephen are going to Eccleston Park station to see it, then over to Wigan to see the other shitloads of tours going through, I may see it in the evening too, as I will be going to Bolton to see 40145 on the Manchester circular tour.

Great, you are going :) In my opinion this event is better than Long Marston by miles. By the way, what 47's are running the merseyman tour?

I don't know, but I'm sure we'll find out! Personally, I hope it's these two again. I still have memories of 47703 and 47832 on the same tour only two years ago.
