Georgia fell behind Tech 1 - 3 by the end of the second period at the 2010 Savannah Tire Hockey Classic in Savannah, GA. The Ice Dogs rallied in the third period, scoring four unanswered goals (including one shorthanded and open net) to win the tournament's marquee game 5 - 3.

The Savannah Tire Hockey Classic is an annual hockey tournament that includes UGA, Georgia Tech, Florida and Florida State. Teams compete for the Thrasher Cup, which Georgia has won five times.
For the first time in 2010, the University of South Carolina and The Citadel played an opening Thursday night game.
