No matter WHAT I told them, they didn't get the message. They were so fucking thickheaded at Reslife.

And he was all, "Gimme your ID!" and then told me to go outside with everyone else for the fire drill. I was pretty surprised that everyone else was there. I didn't get a memo about a fucking drill in advance. Then I had to to tell the girls at the front desk in SA I'd like my ID back. Then when I TRIED to get break housing for a day or two before my flight on Saturday for Easter break, they rejected it because "you don't understand fire drills and safety." bitches...

The fire alarm in SA was pretty shitty, too. I remember it going off randomly for no apparent reason probably 5 times over the semester. Whenever that happened, the RA just told us to ignore it. So I had gotten so used to it that when they did have an ACTUAL drill not long after Christmas Break was over, I had no reason to expect it! I was minding my own business when the alarm went off, and then like 5 minutes after it started going off, the campus cop opened my door.

I remember when I was in SA for that year, all the guys pretty much knew each other down the hall to some extent. We all hate white dry-erase boards attached to our doors, and we LOVED to draw and write all kinds of hilarious and nasty shit on em with the markers, especially me. It was awesome!

Unfortunately, though, during the second semester, some jackass apparently shit in the men's shower (from what I hear), and the head of Reslife said she would fine us all if someone didn't confess. LOL

The doors where you go in and out of the building,  I mean

One thing that I always found a little weird was the fact that SS (not sure if the dorm is still called that or what) never actually had a main door. It was somehow connected to Cotterman, and the doors into that "dorm" had a security lock that could only be opened with your student ID, if I recall. Of course, I was in Saylor-Ackerman.

One thing I DO miss, now that I think about it, about Capital, though, was the closeness (in terms of bonds, friendship, etc.). The small size of the campus made it feel pretty connected. You don't really get that with a large campus like Mizzou.

The lack of interesting groups with a lot of exciting events on campus was also a big downer. Wicked Wednesdays were almost always pathetic. Professor Dauer, however, was pretty fucking sweet. He was a poli-sci professor, if you don't know. Or maybe he's now just an adjunct. I don't wtf is going on with that at the moment.
