Sunrise08 Report

Sunrise Celebration 08 was hit by a freak weather system that flooded the site causing the festival to be evacuated 6 hours after opening. The festival organisers have made arrangements with The Big Chill festival to re-schedule Sunrise in conjunction with The Big Chill. All original Sunrise tickets will be valid for this festival.

honestly - there was really nothing that could be done. i interviewed the duputy leader of south somerset council on site - and he said it's not just this festival - large areas of the entire county are flooded - including their council offices

if it were possible to hold a festival here it would have happened

lobby your mp to do something for climate change now!

True sunrisers would be happy for you to have your refund welease. There were many many people who enjoyed the cancelled festival and made the best of the worst. U must have hidden in your tent all night or had your head in the MUD. I have respect for the organisers and stewards who were freindly, informative and polite. I might be taking a blind stab in the dark here, but my guess is you were a complete ashole to people who would have been happy to be nice to u had u been nice. Plonker.

i cant help but feel it was your attitude that was reciprocated back to you. I was at sunrise in the week running up to the festival and was amazed at the helpfulness and determination of the organizers.

Before you judge, walk a mile in the organizers shoes, if you still struggle to be empathic at least you'll be a mile away :D

i know how challenging it was for you and all of us, i can only say to you, please try to put yourself in the shoes of those who were grappling to handle a fast unfolding situation that effected the health and safety of thousands of individuals all at the same time, i know it was disappointing for you and i am sorry - it was a situation that was out of everyone's control and it had to be managed.

I was there, what a disappointment! To be honest the people working there were rude and very unhelpful! I paid the tractor guy £10 for getting me out of that field :) he was the only helpful person around!

hey just like to thank the people at sunrise for working sooooooooooo hard!! the weather is something we can't control and i hope everyone is is aware of how hard you all worked.
