I thought the best way to get an idea if a place makes good tacos is if they make good Al Pastor. Making Carne Asada is not as hard, I am a horrible cook but can make decent asada. Al Pastor can be quite complicated, the marinade is not easy to make and preparation of Al pastor is a lot more labor intensive. I attempted to make homemade Al Pastor and it was a disaster.
