The Schools for Intelligent Energy Use (SIEU) project is the first of its kind in the UK to link businesses with students to work on energy efficiency projects.

The UK element of the European SIEU programme, which is funded by Intelligent Energy Europe, is being delivered by Community Energy Plus - Cornwall's leading charity delivering local solutions to fuel poverty, energy efficiency and renewable energy.

On 15th December 2010, almost sixty students from five Cornish schools and colleges successfully completed projects to help local businesses use energy more efficiently and investigate renewable technology opportunities.

The students worked for three months on projects to find creative solutions to real-life sustainability questions and help the business they worked with reduce their energy consumption and investigate renewable energy options.

This film includes clips of interviews with participants of the SIEU 3 project.
