I had Tim Stafford as a teacher at Augusta Bluegrass week this past summer and he showed us how to play the opening lick to this song. Sorry but I already forgot it and am re-learning it now. I think it was in Drop-D tuneing.

these boys got it together

@callousedAquarius I play it in drop D, capo on 5th fret. This is a Mark Knopfler song, great tune, great version here.

Anybody know the chords to this?

I know what you mean. Our band has been together only about 3 years and already gone through 3 bass players and 2 mando players. LOL.
Its cool to hear your daughter is into bluegrass. I'm 17 and I love bluegrass. Sometimes it gets discouraging because there are so few people my age that likes bluegrass.
Keep on grassin'!

Been a while since I'd seen this. This is rockin'! Blue Highway is one of the best bands out there now. IMHO.

yeah, i agree at the recent pickup in talent as far as bluegrass goes so it is hard to choose...what really makes me love cherryholmes is vocals and song choice.
During the banjo break ... is Rob actually brushing that fast?
