Private companies profit from piracy - Dec 7 08

The European Union is taking action to ensure more ships evade the pirates menace. EU naval forces are launching an anti-piracy operation this week.

With 13 ships including a huge Saudi oil tanker and their crews currently being held hostage in the notorious Gulf of Aden, many shipowners are now turning to private security firms for protection.
