Dave Rashed - Keys vcls HAYWIRE: Canadian hard rock band Haywire comprises Paul MacAuland (vocals), Martin Birt (guitar), David Rashed (keyboards), Ronnie Switzer (bass) and Sean Killbridge (drums). The highlight of their live performances and three studio albums was undoubtedly MacAuland's effervescent vocals, which accompanied studied musical patterns placed firmly within the US AOR radio tradition. Despite achieving platinum sales for Bad Boys & Don't Just Stand There in Canada, neither record was released in the USA or Europe. 1990's Nut House was produced by Stagedolls & TNT collaborator Bjorn Nessjoe & saw them move to a more rough-hewn, basic rock sound akin to early Aerosmith.

David Rashed has carved out a fine reputation as a musician over the past two decades. Best known as the lead singer for Haywire, a popular 1980s P.E.I. rock band that recently re-issued its albums on CD through Unidisc Music, Rashed is also a record producer, recording and producing groups; and lately he's becoming known for his interest in contemporary Christian music.Rashed has penned over 20 christian songs and is a worship leader.
Haywire performance and award presentation - Music PEI Awards Gala Show. Haywire was featured at the recent Music PEI Awards Gala show at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. They were awarded the Lifetime Achievement award for their undeniable success as the most commercially successful band to come out of Prince Edward Island.
