me & my bro were sick n tired of the fuzz about airsoft silencer and their ability to supress the firing sound of every type of airsoft gun. so we tested all we could think of, at various ranges. we found some pretty interesting stuff, and it's all here in this video. note that high pitched sounds can be heard further than low pitched sounds, thus the motor of an AEG gearbox and the slide/bolt cycle of a GBB will be heard further than the actual sound that comes out of the muzzle, also i use the word nozzle instead of the word muzzle in this vid so don't hate me for it. i mix those 2 up a lot...

  • I love that dog! :DD You are shooting and he/she is just watching the BB's. =)

  • @150Tommi jup, she can hear the bb's flying trough the air but can't see em, and she's made the link between guns and that sound so every time we pick up a gun she's ready to play :-p we never shoot at her offcourse, and sometime's it's annoying if she's getting in our line of sight, but mostly we shoot above her so as long as she doen't try to bite that sound, she'll be okay :-p

  • Remember that on springbolt-rifles such as the VSR a whole lot of sound comes from the stock of the gun because of vibration echo. So fill it up with clay and a majority of sound will go away.

  • @Sench00 i've stacked a bag of heavy .43gr bb's up in there, as a counterweight for the hefty fluted barrel. but i suppose that stuffing it with foam would also work.

  • @150Tommi

    ohh yehaa

  • @Sench00 another way it put a smooth foam like glass wool (for the motorcycle's muffler) in to those stock and it's silincer (if yours are G-spec)

  • @Sench00 yes it does work....a fill the stock (below the cylinders) with a foam...and the sounds so smooth...my major sound problems no lay on the head piston, the damper so thin probably i will made another thin damper and put in not in the head piston but i prefer put it at cylinder head, the reason why i put in here because maybe it's useless when you just put damper on one side, if putted in both side, the smooth thing againts the smooth thing...

  • that dog is ready to go play fetch with your bbs haha
