Lake District. Walk from Fleetwith Pike over to Hay Stacks. Buttermere & Crummock Water. View over Innominate Tarn, the final resting place of Alfred Wainwright.
I did this route yesterday in glorious sunshine, such a stunning place and the walk across to haystacks and innominate tarn is well worth it as it is such a spectacular setting.
Me & my ex spent a long cold Aug night "lost" on Haystacks 20 years ago, very frightening, he was trying to light damp sheeps wool to keep us warm - happy memories! Spectacular views before the mist came down in the afternoon.
