Here's a recent performance of "He's A Rebel", originally a hit for The Crystals, sung by Darlene Love. When the song, written by Gene Pitney, was released in 1962, Darlene was not credited as the lead singer at the time.
This previously unseen performance was recorded in November 2008 during the shoot for Time Life's "Prom Night" infomercial. See if you spot Frankie Avalon dancing in the audience.

It's about damned time Darlene made it onto the ballot for induction into the Hall of Fame!
It was an honor and a privelidge to work with her as an engineer, and to be able to call her friend.

It's great that there's so much footage of both Darlene Love & Ronnie Spector on Youtube! It'll be a long wait for their show at the Count Basie Theatre.
