Report on progress of war between India and Pakistan includes first film of the war zone and interviews with the UN Secretary General and the British Foreign Secretary.

This report includes Andrew Gardner's studio introduction, where he puts the programme's stories in context. This includes a map graphic of the part of India in which the first report was filmed. Cameraman with Pakistani (Brenards?) forces films the captured Indian stronghold of Jourian and a neighbouring encampment, deserted and mined, Indian Air Force MiGs overhead, supplies and heavy armour moving up. Knocked out Pakistani tanks and other vehicles by the roadside and air-raid damage and shelters in Rawalpindi. U Thant, en route via London for talks in Rawalpindi and New Delhi, brushes aside reporters while Michael Stewart reveals only that the British fully support the UN peace initiative. Policemen let four Pakistanis of the Liberate Kashmir movement shout abuse at U Thant.
