My first hardware review ever hope it wasn't too horrible. The Big Typhoon can be purchased online for 40-50 dollars usually and provides great cooling. Pros are it is large, quiet, and has 6 heatpipes. Cons are it is heavy at 813 grams, has only a 54cfm fan and the later versions I believe come with a inferior push-pin design. This heatsink fits Intel as well as AMD sockets up to the AM2. Any questions check my channel or comment below.

  • Does it come with a manual that explains how to attatch it?

  • Yes believe it did and if you cant figure it out just look on there site or google it. It is very easy I am sure you can figure it out or just message me I will help ya out.

  • did this come with screws or push pins

  • Its a bolt through design better then push pins by a mile.

  • they actually have a new push pin version of this

the one on my channel is this version though.

have you noticed that the nuts holding in the h-clip on the cooler aren't able to tighten as much as you'd like?

  • If you are speaking of the nuts for the top h plate mine came with large thumb screw type nuts it was very easy to attach. Only downside is they don't have a spring or stop you can keep tightening then until you break something.

  • thumbs up if youre watching this in 2011... i remember when everyone was going crazy about this cooler :')

  • @kidowner NO! lol I used this on my Pentium D it's alright but not much better then stock : \

  • can i have a dildo?

  • @ccraig412 Those are called heatpipes, theres nothing wrong with that really.. it has a lighter than air substance within the pipes and they carry the heat to the heatsink fans, and condense once again!

  • Only thing i dont like, is the copper tubes.... Laptops use these as a cooler, but i think having the heatsink and fan seperate from the core isnt a good idea... My opinion. :D

  • yes ^^, AM2 - AM 3 Same CPU Cooler

  • It works with socket AM3 ?????

  • I should have bought this rather than damn 3d rocket pro cooler...

  • is this better than the zalman 9700?

  • Thanks for sharing, Rick.
