even tho,kirk alyn was the first superman, george reeves had really put on an show. he was KING OF SUPERMAN.

everybody looked up to him, he was my idol, don't hide it , you gotta admit you tried, to fly around with your own special cape you used, to be superman. i couldn't call it pretend, it was real. always be apart of my childhood :)

george reeves known what people, his fan's,wanted to see. he said he wanted those darn walls to pop out, when he makes an landing for it, as superman. boy did he love those damn walls. sure enough it worked,it passed off :D

Thank you for posting this. Yes, I remember Kirk Allyn playing the part, but George Reeves was the "Real Deal". I was only 7 years old and I believed a man could fly. I'm 63 now, but I've never forgotten those words "Truth, Justice and the American Way". It's a shame we're not allowed to teach those words and values in school. Superman, I hope you've found peace at last.

actually, the first superman actor was kirk allyn who is hardly remembered today.
