Current official lyrics:

Jeszcze Polska nie zginęła,
Kiedy my żyjemy.
Co nam obca przemoc wzięła,
Szablą odbierzemy.

Marsz, marsz, Dąbrowski,
Z ziemi włoskiej do Polski.
Za twoim przewodem
Złączym się z narodem.

Przejdziem Wisłę, przejdziem Wartę,
Będziem Polakami.
Dał nam przykład Bonaparte,
Jak zwyciężać mamy.

Marsz, marsz...

Jak Czarniecki do Poznania
Po szwedzkim zaborze,
Dla ojczyzny ratowania
Wrócim się przez morze.

Marsz, marsz...

Już tam ojciec do swej Basi
Mówi zapłakany
Słuchaj jeno, pono nasi
Biją w tarabany.

Marsz, marsz...

***

English translation:

Poland has not perished yet,
So long as we still live.
What foreign force has taken from us,
We shall take back with the sword.

March, march, Dąbrowski,
From Italy to Poland.
Under thy command
Let us now rejoin the nation.

Cross the Vistula and Warta,
And Poles we shall be.
We've been shown by Bonaparte,
Ways to victory.

March, march...

Like Czarniecki to Poznań
After Swedish occupation,
To rescue our homeland
We shall return by sea.

March, march...

Father, in tears
Says to his Basia
Just listen, it seems that our people
Are beating the drums.

March, march...

  • @Malzbrot4000 : No they're not.......there is a deeper meaning behind the words. One has to fully understand the history of Poland in order to appreicate the lyrics.

  • So I'm what you'd call an "ignorant american" ; I've never been to poland and i have no idea what it's like. But I was bored tonight and wanted to find some random music. So I went to the search bar and typed "Anthem of" and thought of a random nation. That nation was poland. I came across this video and I honestly like your anthem. It's pretty.

  • Pozdrawiam.

To all the polish people and they Great Nation, the Portuguese people salute you .

  • @Andrej2547 Melody "Hey, Slavs" (national anthem of Yugoslavia) is based on Mazurek Dąbrowskiego, anthem of Poland , but the Yugoslav variation is much slower and more accentuated. This melody is just traditional polish folk theme of Mazurka first used for polish anthem .

  • SAME LIKE EX-YUGOSLAVIAN ANTHEM FROM WHERE I AM, TYPE 'Yugoslavian anthem'

  • greetings from georgia! brothers! we love you and proud of you!
