  • Thanks for posting this video. And thanks to you handsome assistant too. I do have one question though: what do you do about those "tails" your diamonds have? Do they interfere with whipstitching the diamonds together? Nice quilt, BTW. I love the hexagon border effect.

  • Excellent tutorial!

If I may make a suggestion, you might find the fabrics easier to work with if you starched them before cutting. They would have more body, resist fraying, and crease more crisply. Not that you're doing anything wrong now, but it might make things even easier for you.

  • Very cool. I'll have to see if I can find these at my local quilt shop.

  • Do you ever have a problem with the middle of the stars wanting to fray? I think I cut the fabric on the wrong kind of bias. : /

  • A wonderful tutorial, fun to watch!

  • George is so cute! I love that name! I used to knit with my babies on my lap (: You're so cute too, enjoying your little one. God bless you!

  • How does George like this video now that he is a big boy. Tell him thanks he was a very good helper. I really enjoyed watching you make this video and not get overwhelmed while George had his fun. Great mom, nice looking quilt, great quilt very nice work.

  • thank you for your tutorial...! George was being so adorable too

  • Thanks you for this...I have watched many times. How far do you do go until you realize you can remove quilt patis? What size needle works best? Does the order you demonstrate on the video as far as what pieces should be put together work for entire time? Im trying to write the order down on a graph so I can follow..So excited started last night thanks so much..I realize now one pack of quilt patis wont be enough! D

  • so helpful...and clear...you answered so many questions..thank you george!
