YouTube user JoelVarjassy was having a few problems with playback quality. I decided to go over Ram Previewing one more time.

  • well im using vista and i just found out i have 3.00 GB of RAM. now do you know a way i can get more memory or as this program calls it RAM... or increase the space on my computer ?

  • most computers a few years ago came with a 32 bit operating system (vista) installed. If you want to see more than 3.75% of 4 GB memory, (RAM) than you need to move up to a 64bit OS. Today, Windows 7 is the best choice out there.

Hard drive space, (HDD) is another story...you only need enough space to fit the media that you are working with on there. I personally have 500GB drives but am upgrading to 1.5TB drives as I'm running out of space for storage and backups.

    HDD - Hard Disk Drive

  • I have this problem for whenever i ram preview with a clip larger than about 5sec or when im adding effects (such as time remapping) i get a green flashing screen on the preview screen. and if i try to ignore it and render it the new file also has the annoying green flash.

  • Make sure you have enough and fast memory (RAM) installed. Also go to the Adobe site and make sure it's not incompatible.

  • hey if you have this much subscribers why don't you apply to youtube partner's

  • I actually have been getting this question quite a lot lately...

I did apply for the partners program a few months ago but YouTube said I did not have enough views on my videos.

I actually have been shocked the past few weeks on how many subscribers have come in....I jumped up 30 more in a very short time.

I will have to try to apply again and see what they say. It would be nice to get in.

  • @TheAceDesignz Ram previewing runs the playback data to your Memroy/RAM and so you need more memory to play back more in real time. I run 6GB and I can play back 12 seconds of full HD video at one time. You can also set the comp to be lower quality and it will play back more.

  • oh thats odd you have so musch videos and so much subscribers if its hard for you take a look at me i need a lot of subscribers too LOL (may be you can subscribe to me)

  • Very true for this program. A 64 bit OS would be even better since you can go past 3.75GB. I plan on upgrading to Windows 7 64 bit when it comes out. I have the 32 version on my laptop now and love it.

  • the more ram the better imo :)
