As promised in an earlier video, I made a visit to the depot today to get some pictures of a variety of Dunoon's buses. We see a Dennis Dart, a Mercedes, a VanHool coach, some citybuses, an assortment of Double deckers, a Cadet and an Envirobus.

...I just realised, I forgot to include one last clip at the end of the Optare bus's snazzy interior. Oh well, I'll put it on my blog tomorrow.

Enjoy!

  • I think the blue titan was ex GTL from the merseyside area. They were sold/scrapped when Stagercoach invaded!

  • Ahh, that's right, it's a Titan not an Ailsa silly me lol.

yeah, I think there was two in our town, an A reg and a B reg, and they both mysteriously stopped when WCM took over from Stagecoach. Sad thing is, they were replaced by pile-of-shite 'newer' deckers that had horrible gearboxes, and would lurch and jump about when accelerating from a standstill. They also leaked, smelled and didn't sound half as good as what they replaced!

  • M227VSX is a Volvo Oly just arrived from Glasgow Citybus ex Lothian

  • Thanks for the info! I am still learning about buses, am more informed about trains :)

I believe the picture of the back of the bus (blue bus) is an old Ailsa. I wish it was still running.. had cracking engine noises.

  • Nice but the new Optare Solo wasnt so new...it was from 2006...do you know who it was with before WCM?

  • Alright I edited the title lol.

  • 0:26 my school bus no joke

  • cheers.

  • Great pics those look nice busses 5*

  • It was indeed from 2006 and while that is not 'new' as such, it is one of the 'newest' additions to our fleet as I've said in the video. A lot of the buses in our fleet are quite a bit older.

It wasn't anything before West Coast Motors. It's been in the town for about 3 years now, and WCM took over from Stagecoach in 2004.
