HI i am experiencing a problem with restore, i have connected my external hard drive to my laptop,I took my C drive backup along with MBR to drive I, then I restored that backup to drive F(which is my first external drive partition and active), when i tried to boot my laptop from external hard drive it loads windows for a little while and a blue screen comes and quickly restarts itself, am I doing something wrong here?? please advise

@noumman - You CANNOT boot your computer from an external device, the idea is to create a clone of your drive and restore it using the rescue disc :-)

hi cotojo1253, its an excellent video and i am impressed, however i need few information, if i use free edition to my work computer to backup monthly will it violate any level of license agreement and also can i use my serial for another pc or do i need to get a new one for every computer? if i install this to my windows 2000 pro will I need some activex or plugins prior to installing this software? Kindly advise

@noumman - As long as you use it for 'personal use' there is no problem even with backing up your work computer unless you share it across a network etc. Installing on 2000 Pro you shouldn't need any extra plugins etc and it should install and work cleanly and you could also use the same key :-)

there is a way to restore with bootabile cd but when i after restart comp. with cd in it and follow the steps untill i have choose iso image from external hard drive it shows only that external hard drive. and there is nowhere C or D...to put that copy on it...What i do wrong. I have XP and paragon 9

I try this Paragon Drive Backup™ 9 Personal Special Edition, after installation , take backup of c drive, create rescue disk and also check integrity.

After i start the vm ware workstation on another pc, and copy the backup on that pc. I booted the VM Machine , go to network configuration and map the backup drive and start the simple recovery. Every thing going fine and restore the image on vm. But when i start the vm system, the blue screen and system restart. Can you tell me what hapen ?
