DAVID BECAN

Soulful, with a rich tone is what describes the refreshing sound of song writer, and singer David Becan.

Raised by Jamaican parents in Mount Vernon, NY gives David a rich multi cultural background and life experience that makes his lyrics (music) relevant across both domestic and international markets.

Becan was coached by Kenny "The Star Maker" Hicks. Hicks trained artist of the likes of Mary j Blige, Jodeci, Donnell Jones and was the trainer in the Pussy Cat Dolls show. Becan has performed in countless venues and worked with Kid Capri, Devante Swing from Jodeci, and Dame Grease from Vacant Lot, just to name a few. This experience and exposure left this refined artist with a polished tone and performance style.

Through his music you can hear the product of his influences from artists like R Kelly, Sade, Michael Jackson, Donnie Hathaway and many artists from the New Jack Swing era. Other influential artists Becan grew up with are Red Man, Wu Tang Clan, Naz, Biggie Smalls, and Jay Z. Other artists such as Beres Hammond, Bob Marley, Sizzla, and Garnett Silk, have also influenced David.

David Becan is the definition of a true artist because of his versatility and mass appeal. His hit single "Let Your Body Go" is just a taste of what he offers to the music industry. Working with his talented producer and friend JS "The Best" , David created his signature sound.
