btw i solved this kind of problem when i was 3 so it only took a minute to remember the answer lol

first, take the sheep over and put it on the other side....
second, go back to the lion and the grass and take the grass to the other side...
instead of going back with nothing, take the sheep back to the starting side and put it there
then, take the lion, and leave the sheep on the starting side and put the lion on the grass side.
then finally go back for the sheep and take it to the other side... ALLL SAFE!!!!
(this works if the man can keep each other from eating each other)

1- the care taker should take the goat to the other side B,
2- then go back side A and in the next trip bring the lion to the other side
3- then on his way back he should take the goat again to the side A
4- he should then leave the goat in side A and bring the grass to the other side B
5- he should then go back to the side A and bring the goat
so..did i get it right?!?!

hmmm...if you take the sheep first then omly the grass and the lion is left, which is fine because the lion wont eat the grass. but, if you take the grass next then the sheep would eat it when you went back for the lion or the lion would eat the sheep when you go back for the grass. obviously you cant take the lion first or the grass. hold on, what if the sheep ate the grass and then the lion ate the sheep and you carried his fat ass across the river...no complaints then(LOL^-^)
