(Sacramento) -- Cameras clicked in the packed California State Assembly chambers as Henry T. Perea and his fellow lawmakers were sworn into office by California's new Supreme Court Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye. Assemblymember Perea was voted into office by the people of the 31st District, which includes the central San Joaquin Valley communities of Cutler-Orosi, Dinuba, Firebaugh, Fowler, Kerman, Mendota, Parlier, Reedley, Sanger, San Joaquin, Selma and the City of Fresno. "I'm going to be focused on jobs. My first bill encourages the High Speed Rail Authority to buy goods that are manufactured here in the state. I think it's important that we use California taxpayer's dollars to put Californians back to work," said Assemblymember Perea.
