This is a short animated film I made using After Effects CS4, for a final year project at University of Leeds.
The title refers to nuclear fusion and also to the way reality and non-reality fuse together as the character begins to lose his sanity. Please excuse the ropey story, this should be watched more for the animation!
Influences include sci-fi film and tv, comics and animation, fallout 3, retro-futurism.
The music is from Danny Boyle's movie Sunshine, Adagio in D Minor by John Murphy.
Thanks to Andrew Craig for starring in the film and providing the voice over, and to Boliver for all aspects of the sound design, including musical re-edit.
Also thanks to Andrew Kramer and www.videocopilot.net, as well as the Creative Cow forums, www.creativecow.net, for inspiration and tutorials.
Pretty Cool I'd say. Actually quite reminded me of the movie Pandorum and 2001 (which are way better than Sunshine btw)
