I'd say they don't have a candidate, in the sense that he was not the obvious 'choice'. Remember what EVERYONE said about McCain last December?
It's actually shocking he is in front. Who decided that (it certainly wasn't a popular decision).

Unfortunately, Lew's prediction here a year ago that the GOP would likely not have a candidate after the primaries proved to be incorrect with insane McCain the Republican Party nominee. The political system / mainstream media is too corrupt to allow an honest man of character and integrity like Ron Paul to become president. And maybe too many Americans are still brain dead zombies who need to wake up.
